Colton Cangley

Director of Business Development

Colton Cangley has five years of experience in the financial services industry, most of it as a licensed financial advisor in a management role. He still holds Series 6, 63 and 26 registrations as well as his life & health insurance license. He says, “I find it very easy to have conversations with Quantum’s financial advisors since I come from an advisor background. Because I am fully licensed and well-versed in both annuities and life insurance, I am in a hybrid role here at Quantum and can help with both types of products. I really enjoy this industry and was looking for a wholesale opportunity. Quantum just blew me away from the moment I walked in.” Prior to entering financial services, Colton had spent five years as a wholesaler helping to run his father-in-law’s firm which handled salvage for heavy equipment and trucks. He had also worked selling cars while he was in college. As he puts it, “I really like sales and enjoy being in a competitive situation.” Originally from the small town of Decatur, Texas where “football is a religion,” Colton played football and baseball in high school, traveling to many states in the U.S. for tournaments. He went on to play college baseball in Waco, Texas for McLennan Community College. He got married at 17 and has two children, a daughter, age 14, and a son, age 12. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his kids and loves to play golf.
